Community outreach
We believe that to build an energy system that works for everyone, everyone must be involved in building it. We are actively working to include all Bristol communities in our work and to support them to run their own energy projects.

We take ideas and information out to communities in different parts of the city via a roadshow approach which involves either hiring a space for a few days or setting up a roadshow in a suitable space, such as a community building. We use the opportunity to talk to people about their energy concerns and to offer support to develop projects to address them.
We also encourage working in partnership between existing groups and non-energy groups in targeted neighbourhood wards across Bristol, particularly focusing on those wards that in the past have not had good levels of community engagement. This approach allows us to reach out to communities previously not engaged by the energy agenda in the city and provide ongoing support and to develop potential business models within city for community energy projects.
