Then come to a taster session to explore how a short course, organised jointly by community groups Bishopston, Cotham and Redland Energy Group and MakeyourhomeEco, can help.
The cost of the taster session is £5.00, refunded if you sign up to the full course.
Sessions are tailored to both home owners and tenants, and cover low cost and seasonal measures, tips for choosing appliances, understanding the jargon, either to develop your own project for your current or future home, speak to installers or get support and grants.
It’s designed to be enjoyable as well as informative, featuring games and hands on activities, plus a series of worksheets that focus you on your own priorities and situation and will help you start saving money right away.
Cost of the full course: £85 (£40 low income) for 6x 2 hour sessions, including all materials
Dates: Taster session, Tuesday evening 6.30-8.30, Oct. 4th; Wednesday morning 10.00-12.00, Oct. 12th, venue to be confirmed.
The dates for the courses itself are as follows:
Morning, 10.00am-12.00: Wednesday Oct. 19th, 26th, Nov. 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th.
Evening, 6.30-8.30 pm: Tuesday Oct. 18th, 25th, Nov. 1st, 15th, 22nd, 29th, Dec. 6th.
(There are 7 dates included in case some people are unable to attend during the half term holiday)
