Energised Communities: research in practice

Big Green Week seminar

This research seminar will draw together lessons from a range of projects, including the University of Bristol’s ‘Maintaining Momentum’, in exploring how communities impact on the way we use energy. Starting with the planned launch of the Bristol Community Energy Strategy, the day will look at approaches from a whole community scale to individual responses in researching how communities and community groups impact on energy use in their localities. Speakers from the University of Southampton, Edinburgh University, Oxford Brookes and Keele are amongst those confirmed for the event which is supported by the University of Bristol’s Cabot Institute and Centre for Public Engagement and the EPSRC (Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council).

The event is open to academics, professionals and third sector and community group representatives involved in the field of local / community sustainable energy.
