Bristol’s Community-Owned Energy

As part of the BIG GREEN FRINGE Bristol Energy Cooperative will present a talk on the current and future ownership of the UK's energy system.

Why should energy remain in the hands of six huge overseas-owned corporations?

We can produce energy locally and we can own our energy together. Community groups across Bristol and the UK are starting to demonstrate this. We share the returns and the energy, and also grow our connection to and understanding of the energy we use.

Hear about local community energy projects and how you can play your part. Hosted by Bristol Energy Cooperative, which aims to support and finance democratic, community-owned renewable energy and energy efficiency projects in Bristol.

A Bristol Energy Network Community Exhibition will also be showing the work of current Bristol Energy Projects.
