This November the UK will be the host of the 26th annual international climate talks (Conference of Parties, or COP26), where world leaders negotiate global agreements on climate change.

We are working with Community Energy England and others to bring the message of community energy to the COP. This is a moment when the UK government will be focused on climate change and will want to look good as the host of the talks. That means it is a good moment to bring our asks to them ahead of the COP.

We have invited local and national politicians, representatives of Community Energy England, community organisations and businesses to think with us about what message we want to bring to the COP. Community Energy England is coordinating a presence for the community energy sector at the COP, so there is a real opportunity to get our voices heard. Lets showcase what we have achieved and learned here in the West of England for the rest of the country.
