We’re recruiting new directors!
The Bristol Energy Network AGM is going to be on Wednesday 4th of November, and this is the time of year when members vote for new directors. Four of our current directors will be standing down, and three of these will stand for re-election alongside new applicants. There are a total of 5 vacancies. We’re keen to bring new skills and perspectives to the board. Could this be you?
We can offer you…
- The chance to be part of a community interest company at an exciting time in its development, and to have an impact in the city.
- The opportunity to be part of our small, dedicated, friendly team.
- The opportunity to make a difference to how Bristol and the wider region moves towards a lower carbon, socially justice energy system.
- Experience of being on a Board of Directors, with training and development opportunities.
BEN welcomes all nominations to become a Director. We are also keen to ensure the network is representative of the community it serves, and especially those most affected by energy issues such as fuel poverty. Therefore, we particularly welcome applications from BME communities, older people, disabled people and low-income communities.
If you are interested in joining the BEN board, get in touch with us at firstname.lastname@example.org by Tuesday 14th October. New directors will be elected at the AGM on Wednesday 4th November (6pm-8pm) and you will have a chance to speak for 2 minutes to present yourself before the election.
