Connected Communities – working with the university

BEN Director Caroline Bird has secured some funding from the University of Bristol to explore how community energy groups might work with the university to develop future collaborations which would be of benefit both to the group and the university.

The University of Bristol, through the Connected Communities initiative, is interested in how to foster and develop new collaborations with civil society leading to productive research partnerships and new knowledge. The aim of this project is to explore how BEN and its constituent groups can develop creative and useful collaborations between the university and the wider city in relation to a new energy future, drawing on the development of the Bristol Community Strategy for Energy and Bristol European Green Capital 2015, alongside the organisations and existing initiatives which can support the development of new ideas.

If you have an idea that you would like to talk about, or want to know more about university collaboration, research or just a bit about how the university works and could work with you, please contact Caroline: caroline.bird@bristol.ac.uk.
