The CHEESE (Cold Homes Energy Efficiency Survey Experts) Project has been selected as one of five organisations to appear at the open bidding for funding evening of The Funding Network on 12th October at TLT Solicitors, 1 Redcliffe Street, BS1 6TP at 6pm. If you have got a full wallet come along! But get a ticket first: http://www.thefundingnetwork.org.uk/events/tfn-bristol/1310
CHEESE are looking for an intern from late October till end March. Up to 3 days/week.
They are also looking for applicants for a free training course for thermal image Energy Tracers on 7th and 8th October at Lawrence Weston. They expect a commitment to help with/carry out at least one survey a week – on average – during a 19 week season from November till end March 2018, with a break from 10th December till 31st. The surveys take about 2 hours. Trained surveyors are paid £40 per survey. The surveys are mostly carried out on evenings and weekends. Contact mike.andrews@cantab.net with a CV.
CHEESE are also looking for volunteers, from November, who would assist with the energy surveys. This is a good way to get into the project and to work up to surveying.
Finally CHEESE will be expanding their home energy surveys into more wards this winter, including Clifton and Bedminster. The best recommendations often come from people who have already had a survey, so please pass the word around if you have found a survey useful in making your home warmer and/or in saving energy. If you are interested in having a survey, you can find out more and sign up at https://cheeseproject.co.uk
