Big Energy Savings Week – Bristol Big Switch

Bristol Energy Network took part in this year’s Bristol Big Switch, which aims to help people cut their fuel bills and get all the financial support they are entitled to. We have been working with a number of other local organisations, including Citizens Advice, Talking Money, North Bristol Advice Centre, Centre for Sustainable Energy and Bristol City Council, to provide energy advice. We aim to work with members to build on activities this week and to work with Bristol’s Mayor along with councillors and our local MPs to support a broader longer-term Big Bristol Switch campaign next year.

Switching is not only about saving the money, if you can afford to move to a renewable tariff or provider then do so. Switching is not only about changing energy suppliers but also about changing habits and behaviours. Here’s some top tips and advice on what to do to make your home warmer, more comfortable, more efficient and cheaper to heat:

The campaign has also been supported by local businesses who are offering savings if you mention Bristol Energy Network. Urbane Eco are offering 10% off and Able Electrics are offering 15% off all energy-saving light bulbs for those using the community discount code BEN15.
