BEN 2017 AGM

Bristol Energy Network’s 2017 AGM took place on Wednesday 6 December at the Bristol Energy Hub on the Waterfront.  The AGM was attended by around 25 people from across the community energy field in Bristol.

The event kicked off with a talk from Green Party councilor Cleo Lake who gave a fascinating talk covering her own personal experiences with energy, as well as thoughts on energy from a Bristol and international perspective.

This was followed by a short talk from Matthew Jones from Bristol City Council who spoke about the upcoming Replicate project which will see residents of Ashley, Easton and Lawrence Hill trialing new technologies to help them save energy and money, and explore new ways of travelling around the city.

During the AGM a new director was appointed; Jenny Coles. Jenny is a Senior Development Manager at Centre for Sustainable Energy. She has worked in the local and community energy sector for five years and has experience of developing and managing energy projects and services with domestic, commercial and public sector beneficiaries, collaborating with a wide variety of partner organisations. We are thrilled to have her on board!

Current directors Simon Roberts, Charlotte Eddisford and Vince Brissenden stepped down from their positions. Huge thanks to them for all their contributions and hard work over the years.

Thank you to everyone who came and to Bristol Energy for use of their venue, and Two Trees Catering for delicious vegan food and mulled cider.
