As promised, here is some more detailed CSE guidance to help support groups and organisations planning to apply for the Renewable Heat Premium Payment (RHPP)Communities Scheme. It is a new fund from the Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC) to encourage take up of domestic renewable heating technologies and reduce carbon emissions. You can read more about the scheme here.
It is being targeted at off-gas areas where heating systems tend to be more energy intensive and more expensive to run. The fund could provide a great opportunity for community organisations to set up new projects around on renewable heat technologies. The Energy Saving Trust (EST) are managing the fund and you can download the application form and the EST guidance from this website:
The attached notes (also available to download here) are intended to complement the EST guidance and help you fill in the application form. There are links to various on line resources and some pointers on what to include in which bits of the application form. If you would like more help with filling gaps in your application, or with longer term planning for a project under this funding stream, get in touch with us by email: communities@cse.org.uk.
Best wishes
