Energy Tracer training

7 & 8 Oct: Energy Tracer training
Lawrence Weston

Cold Homes Energy Efficiency Survey Experts (CHEESE) Project are running more training for keen energy-aware enthusiasts to train as Energy Tracers. Licensed Energy Tracers conduct thermal-imaging surveys of domestic buildings to identify areas of poor thermal efficiency. They also provide the householder with information on how to tackle any of the issues identified and other general ways of saving energy in their home. The course is free to volunteers, but there is a charge for those working for a funded organisation.

Volunteers will need to help with/carry out at least one survey a week – on average – during a 19 week season from November until end March 2018, with a break from 10th December till 31st. The surveys take about 2 hours. Trained surveyors are paid £40 per survey. The surveys are mostly carried out on evenings and weekends. Contact mike.andrews@cantab.net with a CV.
